Well it's the end of another weekend. There's been much changing lately. We got the shelf put together and the towel rack put up with her dad's help. I put the entire dog house together with minimal support! I think I've figured out why I have this wanna be bob the builder complex. I remember (from the stories that I was told) that my dad used to be extremely handy and would flip old run down houses by himself over 30 yrs ago. Definitely a man ahead of his time. I just want to be like my dad and not the helpless klutz that I am. In my mind the measure of a man is his self sufficiency and ability to create with his hands. I feel like it was a big win for me to get that stuff put together. I want to make my own dresser drawers into my closet. Ambitious, no?
Also, believe it or not, I got Melissa to play D&D with me. My wife is not especially open minded and is guarded against anything that might make her feel dorky. Plus she recently confided in me that she was unsettled about what she heard about the game. Afterward she said that she doesn't understand everyone's objection to the game. I always knew if you could get someone who blindly hated the game to play just a session they would understand that there is really nothing to fear or hate. I think GTA has a more corrupting influence.
Well I've rejoined Barroks Tower. I hope to get more game time next trip in!
